Green Glen Lodge

The lodge is located at 5000 feet in a small village of Bhakgtura , 4 km from Saatal in Nainital district. This quaint ethnic lodge has 5 rooms and a few Swiss tents. The lodge has sprawling lawns overlooking a wooded valley.

Green Glen is flanked by pine and oak forest . A little dip pool attracts various species of birds including occasional kingfisher and Forktail.

This is an ideal base for birders, nature enthusiasts wishing to explore Saatal and surrounding area.

We specialise in birding tours and excursions. Please let us know if you are a birder and we will provide all information, guidance and logistic support.

One can undertake a lot of adventure activities such as jungle safari to look for Himalayan wildlife, jeep safari, fishing, mountain biking, camping in the jungle, short and long treks, indoor & outdoor Games etc.

Green Glen is ideally located for groups upto 30 persons. It is easily reachable by car, bus and train from Delhi . Click ‘How to reach'.

Tariff

TARIFF in Indian rupees
(Validity: Sep. 2006)

Accommodation is on ‘room only' basis.

The meal rates on per person basis are: lunch Rs. 200. Taxes as applicable.
Extra bed: an adult or a child at Lodge will be charged @ Rs. 750.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

• All tariffs are on per night basis and are in Indian rupees.
• Extra beds: an adult or a child at Lodge will be charged @ Rs. 350.
• These rates are valid till Sep. 30, 2005 . Rates subject to change without notice.
• Meals on direct payment or can be paid for in advance.
• To & fro transportation can be arranged at an extra cost.
• Group rates will be given on request

PAYMENT TERMS

• An advance of 100% is required. All payments to be made in favour of M/S Asian Adventures payable at New Delhi .

CANCELLATION FOR ALL TARIFFS & PACKAGES

• Less than 15 days before the arrival date – no refund
• Less than 20 days before the arrival date - 60% refund
• Less than 25 days before the arrival date - 75% refund
• No refund in case of road block, accident, no show etc.

How to reach

To get to Green Glen Lodge, one can take any of the following options:

• Drive from Delhi via Moradabad , Haldwani and Bhimtal: 7 hours
• Overnight air-conditioned train from Old Delhi railway station (departing at 2245 hr.) to Kathgodam (arriving at 0615 hr.) and then 3 hr. drive via Bhimtal.
• Overnight air-conditioned train from Old Delhi railway station (departing at 2245 hr.) to Ramnagar (arriving at 0500 hr.) and then 3 hr. drive to Saatal via Haldwani and Bhimtal.
• Upon reaching Mehragaon, take the road to Saatal, drive 2 kilometers after the turn and you will see the board on the left side of the road (a board that says ‘Green Glen')

Saatal (1350mt.): Saat-tal is an ideal all-season camp. And because it's a mere 7 hour drive from Delhi (or a comfortable overnight journey by train), escaping to Saat tal is easy.

Apart from the abundance of natural beauty around you, the camp promises a lot of fun and action. You can enjoy kayaking, fishing and swimming in crystal clear lakes, rock-climbing and treks through dense jungles past hidden villages and waterfalls.
